Offering a common sense approach to a fiscally conservative local government.

I’m Greg Fast and I’m asking for your vote. I am a lifetime resident of Hutchinson - turned entrepreneur and ambassador of our fair city. I have invested my entire life into the City of Hutchinson as a resident, business owner, property developer and landlord. As a businessman who has owned and operated Hutch Lawn Care since 1993, investor in several store fronts in Downtown Hutchinson, and owns several storage spaces throughout Reno County, I am a firm believer in growth and progress. I am a proven leader and promise to provide a thoughtful, fair, and civil approach.

I have always had a special relationship with Downtown Hutchinson. From my teenage years to where I currently call home, the Southwest district is meaningful to me. Over the last decade I have watched the revitalization of Hutchinson’s history in this area with pride.

Even with a great commitment to my entrepreneurial spirit, I make service a high priority. I have served as a member of the Hutchinson Police Department Volunteer Patrol since 1996, as well as past service to the Community Advisor Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Reno County and the Cosmosphere.

I am married to Carlye and we have six adult children and four grandchildren.

As a longtime advocate for Hutchinson, it’s people and their initiatives, I ask that you join me in moving forward. When you think growth, think Fast.

Proven Leadership for the Southwest District

During my time on City Council, I have helped delivered real results for Hutchinson. My focus on economic growth, public infrastructure, and community well-being continues to move our city forward.

Worked closely with Evergy leadership in Kansas City and Topeka to bring a cutting-edge dual-cycle energy plant to Hutchinson, creating 40 new jobs and significantly expanding the city’s tax base. Also overseeing annexation of the old plant near 30th and K-61.

EPA Water Clean-Up Savings:
Working with the EPA to eliminate $600,000 in unnecessary spending on outdated groundwater treatment wells—fighting for science-based solutions and fiscal responsibility.

Blight Removal:
Led efforts to demolish the blighted Atrium building and continues to address additional problem properties to beautify and revitalize the city.

Addressing the Housing Shortage:
Supported and helped incentivize the $14 million Landmark Apartments project, adding 36 new units and securing state funding to help meet housing needs. View more information about the Meyer Landmark.

Helped bring new housing to the Plum Creek area and North Monroe, expanding options for families and individuals.

Attended groundbreaking for APAC’s new $5 million office facility at G Avenue and Airport Road.
